Sony has confirmed that around 60 roles are at risk at the vendor, with the consumer electronics and IT areas believed to be affected.
Speaking to PC Retail's sister site MCV, Sony confirmed that its video games division would not be affected by the cuts, but refused to comment on other departments.
It has been backed up by other reports that suggest Sony is looking to amalgamate its divisions in a similar fashion to what happened at a global level earlier this month, as reported by PC Retail.
