Sony has announced key details of its new Vaio X Series laptops, set to land in the UK soon in time for Windows 7.
Stripped of its additional extras, the new Vaio X laptop weighs just 655g – the lightest yet for a laptop with an 11 inch screen.
The device will launch across the UK in November, starting at around £800, and will be bundled with Windows 7.
A standard unit boasts a 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z550 processor, 2GB RAM and a 128GB hard-drive. It will use an integrated GMA500 graphics card.
With this workload on board, Sony have managed to make the standard battery live for about eight hours, with an add-on pck pushing that number to 16 hours.
