Man accused of publicising Sony attack on Twitter

Sony Pictures Lulzsec hacker arrested in US

A man suspected of being a member of Lulzsec has been arrested over his alleged involvement in hacks on Sony Pictures.

The FBI has accused Raynaldo Rivera of working with Cody Kretsinger to hack Sony, exposing personal details of people that had entered various Sony competitions.

The indictment said that Rivera helped post confidential information on the internet and had also been involved in publicising the attack on Twitter.

Sony claims that the hack cost it $600,000 (£380,000).

If convicted, Rivera could face up to 15 years in prison.
