Sony has announced the launch of its new Bond Z VAIO, which it claims is the UK’s most stylish laptop.Coinciding with the release of the new James Bond title, ‘Quantum of Solace,’ the device carries a number of special agent features and has been produced on a limited basis of 700 units and is billed as the ultimate purchase for any Bond gadget enthusiast.
Sony has taken the original Z chassis and added a Blu-ray drive, bringing HD content to the VAIO line, and also added a 128GB flash drive and a fingerprint reader as standard.
The custom designed interior features a 12 layer motherboard, which means a smaller footprint, further enhanced by additional component miniaturisation as well as the Centrino 2 chipset common to the line.
"The combination of this drive, plus high-end processor and flash memory in a laptop weighing under 1.5kg makes this the most desirable machine Sony has ever created," said Sony VAIO UK’s product manager Chris Trewhitt.
"It is the world’s most stylish laptop designed for the world’s most stylish man."
The limited edition Bond Z will be available to pre-order from Sony Style from October 7th and in selected Sony Centres from October 31st, priced at £2999.
