British high street retailer Sonex Communication, operator of 15 Sony Centre stores, has been placed into administration.
CRN reported that despite a cost-cutting regime over the last year. Sonex reported a £2.7m loss. A Companies House report stated that the company had struggled for market share in a competitive environment.
Sony Europe said the firm was "examining options for the business and the stores moving forward" and that the stores would continue to train and existing orders and warranties would be honoured.
