Further details have emerged about potential job losses at DSGi's Business unit, with rumours suggesting that its recently launched Advanced Solutions division will be the first to experience cutbacks.DSGi confirmed to PC Retail that the retailer was looking at making cutbacks at its business division in August, but sources speaking to CRN have revealed that senior roles within the Advanced Solutions division will be the first to be made redundant.
According to the insiders, the cuts will come as a result of the retail group looking to return its reseller unit to its volume-based heritage. "DSGi is getting back to basics given the economic climate and is looking at its core competencies. For DSGi Business, this means selling product," one insider told CRN.
The cuts come despite DSGi launching the unit to much fanfare back in February this year, as reported by PC Retail.
