AMD has pinched a senior HP executive to head up its EMEA operations.Former vice president and general manager of the consumer business, imaging and printing group for EMEA, Emilio Ghilardi has been been appointed as senior vice president and general manager of AMD EMEA.
However, it is unclear what effect this will have on the role of Alberto Macchi, AMD's corporate vice president for sales and marketing in EMEA and currently the most senior executive in the region.
Speaking to HEXUS.channel's Scott Bicheno, a spokesperson for AMD said: "Emilio Ghilardi doesn't start until mid-August so roles are still being defined."
