Seinfield to appear in $300m Vista ad campaign

Seinfield to appear in $300m Vista ad campaign Microsoft is preparing to hit back at Apple's Mac vs PC series of advertisements in a $300 million campaign set to star amongst others Jerry Seinfield.

The firm is hoping to dispel what it sees as myths about its Windows Vista operating system, partly caused by Apple's campaign, according to a report in today's Wall Street Journal.

Seinfield will be just one of the celebrities appearing in the series of advertisements, with founder Bill Gates also expected to be featured.

In a sign of how serious the firm is taking the campaign, it has hired what is recognised as one of the best advertisement agencies in the world to produce it, Miami's Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

It is currently expected to break on September 4th.
