Since the launch of the first digital camera in the mid-nineties, the devices have developed into a staple gadget for most consumers.
Thanks in part to IT companies such as Microsoft and IBM which developed digital imaging software and online photo exchange networks, digital cameras now easily outsell traditional film cameras in the West.
