Interface Solutions is to be sold to Specialist Computer Holdings for the sum of £2 million by its parent firm Fayrewood. According to Fayrewood, the proposed sale is part of a ‘disposal programme’ which is chiefly the result of a decision by its board in 2005 that the aggregate net worth of the businesses significantly exceeded its market capitalisation at the time.
To proposal will need to secure shareholder approval at an extraordinary general meeting, to be held on July 24th.
Warren Hudson, commercial director at Interface Solutions told PC Retail: “We are all very positive about the prospect of SCH acquiring Interface. There are obvious synergies between the two businesses and we feel that it would result in a very powerful proposition, both in terms of product and service, to our customers.”
