Microsoft CEO will be joined by Sir Bob Gelfolf and more to discuss tech and the future

Satya Nadella to give first talk in UK next month

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will make his first UK appearance next month in a talk that will outline how the firm is creating innovative future tech.

He will be joined by the likes of Jeremy Paxman, Sir Bob Geldof, Dame Stella Rimington and other influential business thinkers to explore the political, social and economic drivers that will shape business and society in the 21st Century.

They will examine ‘what will it take for the UK to thrive in the next decade?’ at Future Decoded, which takes place at ExCeL London from November 10th to 13th.

Day one (free – register here) will focus on the speakers and enterprise technologies, while day two (November 11th – register here for free) is an event dedicated to Microsoft’s partners, with different tracks on marketing, sales, products and licensing.

Day three (November 12th – register here) is for businesses who are IT professionals/developers and will be much more technical-focused.

"The future we face is uncertain," said Microsoft in a statement. "As the world grows beyond seven billion people and our societies and economies shift against a backdrop of ever more powerful technology, we know that to move forward new ways of thinking are needed.

"The ambiguity of the future combined with the incredible potential of a globally connected society presents a unique set of opportunities and challenges for any organisation and their leaders. Future Decoded will explore what it will take for the UK specifically to thrive in the next decade, and the pivotal role that transformational technologies can play in generating and translating new ways of thinking into action."
