Samsung has revealed it is planning a massive expansion of its UK retail operations with the opening of up to 18 stores across the country before the end of 2008.Speaking to ERT Weekly, Samsung UK's chief marketing officer, Dr Anthony Marsella said that the company was planning to offer strong retail support to its products this year.
Marsella said that the company was planning to open at least three more Samsung branded stores.
"We want to create a memorable brand experience, so we will have three more Samsung branded stores in 2008. We will also increase our Shop In Shop offering from five to 15 this year," explained Marsella.
The company currently has a store on London's Tottenham Court Road, owned and operated on the behalf of Samsung by Shasonic.
The locations of the two other stores are currently unknown.
