Samsung will be a presenting Partner for the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, set to take place between May and July 2012 in the run-up to the Games.
The announcement of Samsung’s Olympic Torch Relay sponsorship was made at a special event today in London, hosted by LOCOG, and attended by LOCOG Chair Sebastian Coe, and Minister for Sport and the Olympics Hugh Robertson.
“As a Worldwide Partner, Samsung has a firm commitment to the Olympic Games and is once again thrilled to be a Presenting Partner for the Olympic Torch Relay,” said Gyehyun Kwon, vice president and head of worldwide sports marketing at Samsung. “As an established leader in innovative mobile technologies that offer new and exciting experiences for everyone, Samsung aspires to use the symbolism and power of the Olympic flame to connect youth and sport in the pursuit of achievement.”
