Despite its planned launch in three days time, newly leaked images appear to showcase the rumoured Galaxy S4 smartphone

Samsung Galaxy S4 spotted online

Images of what appear to be Samsung’s long awaited Galaxy S4 smartphone have appeared online just days before the device’s launch.

Whilst Samsung has yet to announce the S4, the firm’s planned Unpacked event set to take place on March 13th has all but confirmed the unveiling of the new device.

Posted on Chinese forum 52 Samsung, the images showcase a device that closely resembles the Galaxy S3, with a five-inch screen along with a physical home button and glossy casing.

Whilst unconfirmed, the images are fairly convincing, and if legitimate, would confirm many of the device’s rumoured features and specifications.

It is believed that the S4 will feature a 1080p display and run Android 4.2.1, powered by a "Universal5410" 1.8GHz processor – a rumoured codename for the Exynos Octa 5410 eight-core processor – in addition to 2GB of RAM and a PoverVR SGX 544MP GPU.

However, the possibility remain that the revealed device is simply a dummy concealed within an outer casing, similar to the events running up to the launch of the Galaxy S3 last year.

The S3 was leaked a number of times within dummy boxes, which effectively concealed the device’s design.

Regardless, even if the new images are indeed fake, consumers won’t have too long to wait to cast their eyes on the device, with Samsung’s unveiling set to place in New York in just three days time.
