Roxio has unveiled new video capture products aimed specifically at capturing game footage, the Roxio Game Capture and Roxio PC Capture.
Roxio Game Capture is a package of hardware and software designed for the real-time capture of game play videos from Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. The USB hardware capture device includes component video and stereo audio inputs.
The package ships with component and RCA cables and is able to record 480p video to AVI, WMV, DivX and MP4 video formats. Screenshots may also be captured in a variety of image formats.
The Roxio PC Game Capture package is a software-only solution which enables recording of PC game play footage in real-time. Video and stills can be captured in HD with support for DirectX 8-10 and OpenGL PC game support.
Both solutions are bundled with a video editor that allows users to turn raw game footage into video complete with transitions and commentary. The software also allows easy upload to video sharing site such as YouTube.
Roxio Game Capture will arrive on 24th in the UK, while the PC version follow in Q2 of 2011
