The Xtreme SL8 gaming notebook arrives at the top end of the market

Rock steps up notebook gaming

Rock has launched the Xtreme SL8 17 inch notebook, delivering what it claims to be the world’s most powerful graphics available in the format.

The gaming notebook comes loaded with a quad core processor and up to a terabyte of RAID hard disk space, and will be on ale from mid-February with prices ranging from £2500 to £3500.

“It’s all about raw power” said Nick Boardman, CEO of rock, “The SL8 packs four Intel Core 2 processor cores, two NVIDIA 8800M GTX SLi graphics cards, three 7200rpm SATA hard disks and all the trimmings to boot”.
