Electrical retailer's association Retra has announced plans to host a series of formal training session for independents in the New Year. Its 'Heading for the Future' workshops are the latest programme from the trade association, following its 'Introduction to Sales' workshop earlier this year.
The professionally hosted training events will look at how to make your customers guests in your stores, listening with eyes and not just ears, triangle questioning, the importance of communication, body language and Neuro Lingustic Programming.
According to Retra, classes will be held throughout the year, across the country. "Competition in our industry is fierce and customers are increasingly cautious about how and where they spend their money," chief executive of Retra, Bryan Lovewell told ERT. "Retra's training is one important way that independent retailers can ensure their staff are equipped for the challenges ahead.
"We are confident that ’Heading for the Future’ will help salespeople deliver a better standard of service that not only has the tills ringing, but also leaves a lasting impression, which has the customer coming back for more."
