Warcraft, the movie based on Blizzard’s World of Warcraft franchise, will be released on December 18th, 2015.
The film will be produced by Legendary Pictures, a company that first teamed up with Blizzard in 2006 to work on adapting the video game.
Originally planned for release in 2009, the movie was postponed as a number of directors came and went.
As Spider-Man director Sam Raimi joined the production, the title was then tipped for a 2011 release. Raimi also left the project, which has now been taken up by director Duncan Jones whose previous film include Source Code and Moon.
Legendary Pictures describes the film as an ‘epic adventure of world-colliding conflict’.
