Raspberry Pi has unveiled the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, a new budget mini computer from the company.
The device promises faster processor speeds and comes equipped with more memory than the Model B+ version.
Its CPU is now a quad-core, unlike the previous device that featured a single-core.
The Cortex A7 processor now runs at 800MHz rather than 700MHz and 1GB of RAM is included.
It will cost customers £22.85 and will require a MicroSD card containing a copy of the Linux OS for users to program.
Eben Upton, founder of Raspberry Pi, told the BBC: “We think it’s about six times more powerful for most applications.
“You can surf the web, you can watch videos, you can play games like Minecraft. But we also bundle it with the tools that children need in order to learn how to program.”
This news comes after the company launched the Raspberry Pi Model A+ last year.
The A+ uses the BCM2835 application processor and has 256MB RAM.
