Smartwatch manufacturer Pebble has released the Pebble Time this week, which is available for pre-order from Firebox and Amazon.
The Pebble time features a built-in waterproof microphone, a colour e-paper display and up to seven days battery life, with a price tag of £179.99.
This week Advantech has announced the launch of its Internet of Things (IoT) Gateway Development Kit bundle with Intel Gateway Solutions for IoT.
The solution features a pre-integrated software and hardware platform containing a Linux operating system, security and management features.
Distributor Target Components has revealed a range of pre-built gaming PCs, with an AMD Fury X graphics card from Club 3D built-in.
The Fury card range is the first to come packed with AMD’s high bandwidth memory (HBM). The memory also stacks the chips, which helps to lower power consumption and the card’s footprint.
MMD, the brand licence for Philips Monitors has unveiled its new 4K UHD resolution display. The BDM3275UP display comes with a 32-inch screen, 3840×2160 pixels, and offers 10-bit colour support.
It also boasts Flicker-Free technology and is priced at £799.
Computing vendor Toshiba has announced its highest capacity enterprise cloud HDD addition to the MC04 Series, which launched back in May last year.
The new 6TB edition has been designed for bulk storage capabilities servers supporting cloud-based applications and scale-out workloads. First samples of the HDD will be available in August.
AMD has unveiled its new AMD FirePro S9170 server GPU, the world’s fastest 32GB single GPU server card for DGEMM heavy double-precision workloads.
It is capable of delivering up to 5.24 TFLOPS of peak single precision compute performance, while also enabling full throughput double precision performance.
Plus, AMD has also announced its new AMD Catalyst 15.7 Driver update, which provides feature updates to enhance the end user experience, including Frame Rate Target Control, Virtual Super Resolution and AMD FreeSync Technology.
Retailer Overclockers is bringing the Cougar 300M professional level gaming mouse to its store.
It comes with a 4,000 DPI sensor and a 1,000Hz polling rate, while its OMRON switches guarantee a life cycle of at least five million clicks.
Panasonic has expanded its 4K display line-up with glass free versions of its 98-inch and 84-inch LED LCD panels.
The displays offer a 3840×2160 resolution and also feature Panasonic’s new generation of image enhancement technology.
In addition, Chillblast has teamed up with Flight Simulator YouTuber Matt Davies, releasing three new systems, including the Fusion Cirrus, Fusion Stratus and Fusion Nimbus.
The systems use technology including Devil’s Canyon CPUs, GeForce GTX 900 series graphics, plus they also feature an SSD.
Lastly, StarTech has created a new family of laptop docking stations, featuring USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt capabilities.
The range includes Travel, Essential, Professional and Speciality, which are all now available from Entatech, Ingram Micro and Exertis.
