Play has begun stocking SIM free iPhones, with the retailer confirming that the devices are all above board.
The device, which is unlocked and can be used on any network within the UK, retails at £599.99 for the 16GB 3G versions.
In a statement, the retailer said: "This is a genuine SIM free mobile phone and therefore unlocked to all UK networks. It is not unlocked from a UK or European network and is available due to EU legislation ensuring the sale of SIM free mobile phones. It comes with a full manufacturer warranty."
