AMD's upcoming quad-core Phenom 9700 CPU has been delayed, due to a translation look aside buffer bug. The processor is now due to be launched in the second quarter of 2008.Despite this, AMD still plan to showcase the CPU at CeBIT (March 4th – 9th) alongside the 9900 and 9100e models, according to sources speaking to Digitimes.
The sources state that AMD is confident that it has solved the bug in the B3 stepping revision, yet the sources are unclear if the CeBIT show will mark the official launch of the products.
