PC World came top in this month’s Mystery Shopper, when PCR headed to Birmingham in search of an iPad or – failing that – the next best thing.
“Rather than blitz through all the ‘wow’ features of the iPad, the member of staff took the time to ask me what I might want to do with it, which made the demonstration much more relevant,” our Shopper said of the visit to PC World, but added that iPad alternatives were not explored in more detail.
This was a consistent trend during PCR’s trip to Birmingham. “In an environment where limited stock was available, I was surprised that the staff I spoke to were not more eager to line up alternative products,” Mystery Shopper wrote.
Currys, the Tec7 concession in House of Fraser and independent retailer TC Hayes all came joint second, with seven out of ten.
