Software distributor Koch has today launched PC Indie.com – an online portal designed specifically to support independent retailers in the IT channel.
Koch says it has seen a positive reaction from the trade since the site went live this morning, and is encouraging more UK independents to sign up.
As an introductory offer, stores which spend over £50 on their first order through the new scheme will receive a Koch media starter pack free of charge, which is worth over £360 retail value.
"We have had an overwhelming response following the PCIndie marketing campaign at PC Retail awards and in the magazine," said Joanna Kemp, head of software sales at Koch. "210 people have already logged onto the site today. We wish to reinforce our commitment to this often maligned sector and the services such as delivery to home (to our customers, customers) seem to be resonating with our accounts. If I had one message it would be give it a try, for your efforts you are securing a few hundred pounds of free software to resell in your store."
The site, which was worked on closely with buying group Brigantia, can be found here: www.pcindie.com.
