Packard Bell has announced it's answer to the growing number of tablets hitting the shelves, while Hannspree will also start selling its own device this week.
Packard Bell – the consumer 'lifestyle' arm of Acer Group – announced its foray into the market this week with the Liberty Tab. The device will be available in May for between £400 and £500. It runs on Android 3.0, has a dual core processor, and a 10.1-inch screen.
In an increasingly crowded market, Packard Bell is holding up the device's 5MP front facing camera and different coloured casings as USPs.
Meanwhile Hannspree's HANNSpad features Flash support, HDMI for 1080p video output and 16Gb of on-board memory – and crucially for the relatively low cost of £249.99.
