One week left for Women of the Year nominations

We are rapidly approaching the deadline for 2017 PCR Women of the Year award applications.

The Women of the Year awards are PCR’s way of celebrating and promoting diversity in UK technology. Taking place at London’s Hamyard Hotel on Friday November 17th, the awards will be a great industry event for networking and catching up with industry peers along with celebrating with the top female talent that the sector has to offer. 

To make sure that you or one of your colleagues is included, make sure you get your nominations in before the window slams shut on Tuesday September 18th (in one week’s time!). Have a look at the below categories, and for more detail head over to the dedicated Women of the Year website.

Creative Marketeer Award:

This category recognises successful, creative and original marketing campaigns over the past 12 months from August 2016 – August 2017. 

PR Powerhouse Award:

Getting breaking stories into the press, knowing all the right journalists, and explaining the ethos and mission of a tech company to the Channel in a clear and engaging way are all in a day’s work for the winner of this award.

This award recognises the most accomplished PR individual or team leader, either internal or agency. Judges will be looking for creative successes and an ability to innovate.

Rising Star Award:

Tech’s future female leaders are starting now and this award highlights the young guns entering the industry with a bang.

Nominees for the Rising Star award will have been working in the industry for 5 years or less and be under the age of 30, or will be in their final year of study on a PC or tech industry-related higher education course. This award serves to highlight young female talent in the business, across all disciplines and functions.

Sales Brilliance Award:

Smashing targets and exceeding expectations – the winner of this award will be able to demonstrate 12 months of spectacular sales success.

Business Mentor Award:

Inspiring younger generations as they start their careers in tech lies at the heart of the Women of the Year awards, and the Business Mentor shines a light on a real standout story.

Technical Excellence Award:

** NEW FOR 2017! **

This award looks to recognise women in the Channel who work on technical projects, from front-end to back-end, ranging from programmers to project managers and everything in-between.

Lifetime Achievement Award:

** NEW FOR 2017! **

This award, chosen by the PCR editorial team and PCR Women of the Year judging panel, recognises a leader who has made outstanding contributions to the industry and paved the way for women in the UK tech industry throughout their career.

This award will highlight a ‘game changer’ in the IT industry. The winner will be a champion of women in IT, and their actions will have consistently benefited and empowered women in tech.

PCR Woman of the Year:

PCR Woman of the Year looks to recognise an outstanding leader who has demonstrated a commitment to the following ideals through the period August 2016 – August 2017.
