Graphics specialist Nvidia has released new WHQL-certified video drivers with a version number of 285.62.
The new drivers represent an official release of the previous beta drivers rushed out to bring performance benefits to Battlefield 3 and id's RAGE, also fixing a driver timeout bug when web browsing.
The new drivers are said to improve compatibility and performance for GeForce 400 and 500-series GPUs in a raft of games, including 5 per cent speed improvement in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 SLI set-ups can expect an 11 per cent boost in game performance in STALKER: Call of Pripyat.
The drivers supports GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500-series desktop GPUs as well as ION desktop GPUs.
