Following on from news that UK based Rock is to enter the business laptop market, sources have exclusively told PC Retail that the direct seller is also preparing to break into the channel for a renewed consumer push. Sources within the company have told PC Retail that that the firm is planning a major announcement later this month, in which it will lay out its specific channel plans.
Retail sources have also confirmed there are plans afoot, though were coy on exact details.
PC Retail contacted the firm and was told by a spokesperson: "Rock has been a well known brand for over 15 years, and is not shy of selling into the reseller channel.
"It is incredibly important for Rock to keep ahead of competition, so we're always open to new ways of generating business."
The move would mean that once again, there would be a major UK vendor operating in the channel.
Rock is best known for its high-end gaming laptops including its Pegasus and Xtreme ranges.
