Touch panel makers are having their products undergo sampling with Asustek Computers in a bid to win orders for the next-generation Eee PC, according to sources speaking to Digitimes.There are to be three models of the ultra portable notebook, the eight, nine and ten-inch models, and it is the nine-inch version that is said to include a touch panel.
Sales of the Eee PC is expected to reach five million by the end of 2008, with industry experts estimating that 300,000 to 400,000 Eee PCs were shipped in the first quarter.
