New World of Warcraft in-game purchase lets players level up for $60

The massively-multiplayer online game World of Warcraft is to add an in-game purchase that levels players to level 90 for $60 (£36).

The popular game has recently seen player numbers fall as its 10th anniversary approaches this November, and Blizzard has attempted to re-interest gamers by making it easier to gain experience points and progress up the levelling ladder.

Despite the changes, reaching level 90 can still take tens of hours of gameplay, so cash-rich and time-poor players may be tempted by the chance to gain more powerful abilities without the previously necessary time investment.
