The Belkin NI Vision displays your connection's bandwidth

New wireless router features speedometer

Taking the generic icon display up a step, the interactive LED display gives users a Download/Upload Speedometer, a visual representation of network bandwidth usage, a screen which shows the number of connected devices, a specific Guest Access Network Key, and current date and time.

A recent Which? survey revealed that many broadband connections purporting to offer ‘up to 8Mbps’ in fact offer a quarter of that. If this sort of technology catches on it could put significant pressure on these companies to clean up their act.

Offering the full Draft N standard, The Belkin N1 Vision Router won’t be available for sale in the UK until November, when it is expected to retailing for around £149.
