New product roundup: Ebuyer laptops under £200, CM liquid cooler and more

We receive hundreds of press releases about new tech products every week here at PCR, and to cover more of them for you, we’re going to start producing roundup articles (much like our security roundups).

In our first new product roundup, Ebuyer.com is now stocking the new HP 255 G3 Quad Core Laptop and the Lenovo B50-30 Laptop, which are both priced at under £200 with free delivery in time for the Christmas rush.

Each of the entry-level laptops come pre-installed with Windows 8.1 and Bing, targeting students or for home and leisure use.

Elsewhere, Synology has launched the DS215j NAS, replacing its DS213j unit. The DS215j features an all-new dual-core CPU, 512MB DDR3 RAM, one USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port, and a Gigabit RJ-45 LAN port.

It also has a 19.4 per cent gain on writing speed compared to its predecessor. The UK RRP for the DS215j is £138 including VAT.

MMD, the technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, has announced a new version of the Philips 23-inch USB docking display. The new model offers advanced IPS panel technology for wider-angle viewing, and Full HD. It has an RRP of £239.

Furthermore, KontrolFreek makes accessories that snap directly onto the control sticks for Xbox and PlayStation (both for the new PS4 and Xbox One and older Xbox 360 and PS3) and are designed to improve gaming performance, accuracy and comfort.

KontrolFreek gaming accessories are also now available in the UK for the first time and can be found in GAME retail stores across the UK

This week Cooler Master has launched the new Seidon 120V Ver.2 Liquid Cooler (pictured) in the UK and Europe – it’s an improved version of the Seidon 120V with Silencio FP Pressure fans, ideal for liquid radiator use and optimised pump technology.

The Seidon has an 120mm Silencio FP fan and a tool-free Universal Mounting System compatible with all available Intel and AMD platforms, include Intel LGA1150 and AMD Socket AM3+. It’s priced at £39.99 including VAT.

EnerPlex, the US-based manufacturers of rugged solar charging and portable power products, has launched in the UK in time for Christmas.

Products include the Kickr IV 6 watt solar charger, the Packr solar backpack and the Surfr iPhone 5/5S case.

Finally, Xmetrics, the first wearable tech device for swimmers that tracks their fitness, lengths and so on, has hit its funding target on Kickstarter.
