Corsair Vengeance LPX 128GB, 64GB and 32GB DDR4
Corsair has announced the global availability of its fastest ever Vengeance LPX 128GB, 64GB and 32GB DDR4 kits. Boasting frequencies of up to 3,600MHz, these new XMP 2.0 kits bring high-frequency performance to even the largest capacity DDR4 modules.
Intel 6th gen Core vPro processors
Intel has announced the availability of its 6th gen Intel Core vPro processor family. Designed for full business productivity, it has up to 2.5 times the performance, three times the battery life and a 30-times increase in graphics performance over a 5-year-old system.
HP Sprout Pro
HP has unveiled the Sprout Pro – designed for schools and professionals. Its 3D Capture app creates a high resolution, full color 3D digital model that you can manipulate any way you choose. The optional 3D Capture Stage automates most of the process. IT has an Intel realSense 3D camera, Windows 10 Pro, Intel Core i7 Processor and 1TB of storage.
HP Chromebook 11 G4 Education Edition
HP has also announced the HP Chromebook 11 G4 Education Edition (EE) – a durable, lightweight Chromebook designed to meet the needs of students and educators.
Acer TravelMate B117 notebook
Acer’s new TravelMate B117 notebook is tailor-made for the education market and powered by Windows 10 Pro. It’s the first notebook to support the Acer TeachSmart solution, which enables new ways of classroom interaction, and empowers teachers with tools and cloud-based services to distribute class materials and collect assignments digitally.
Panasonic PT-RZ570 laser projector
Utilising the latest DLP module for WUXGA resolution and a new-generation of solid-state laser diodes, the PT-RZ570 has a four-segment Quartet Colour Harmoniser colour wheel that reduces energy loss from the light source, boosting perceived brightness and improving colour accuracy.
3D Systems ProX DMP 320
3D Systems’ newest 3D printer, the ProX DMP 320, leverages expertise in high volume metal additive manufacturing, offering fast build turnaround times in demanding 24/7 production environments. The firm describes it as production read, with quick-swap build modules and efficient powder recycling. It has low operating costs with efficient consumables management and shared ancillary equipment.
AOC 160Hz curved gaming monitor
AOC has unveiled a 160 Hz curved gaming monitor called the AOC C3583FQ. ‘When gamers feel surrounded by their virtual world it is a more complete viewing experience’ says the firm. With a radius of 2000mm, this monitor is more curved than other conventional curved monitors. Other specs include wide Full HD resolution (2560 x 1080 pixels), two HDMI (MHL) ports and two DisplayPort inputs.
Linksys X6200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi modem router
The X6200 features dual wireless bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with data speeds up to 300Mbps (2.4GHz) + 433Mbps (5GHz) making it ideal for internet streaming and gaming. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports make it easy to share data quickly across your network, and to external devices – at speeds 10x faster than Fast Ethernet. Plus, use the high-performance USB 2.0 port to attach a storage device and quickly transfer large files or share devices across your Wi-Fi network. It will be available in March with a price tag of £79.99.
Thalmic Labs’ Mylo gesture controlled prosthetic arm
The Myo reads electrical activity of muscles to control devices with gestures, touch free. Created by Thalmic Labs, the Myo armband has electromyography (EMG) sensors that directly sense muscle activity and motion, allowing it to read the activity of the user’s muscles in a refined way.
Samsung ATIV Book 9 Spin and Pro
Samsung has launched the ATIV Book 9 Spin and ATIV Book 9 Pro, the first laptops to feature Assertive Display by Apical. Both products feature what Samsung calls ‘real-time HDR’, controllable by the user via a dedicated function key, which are enabled by Assertive Display. Real-time HDR allows users to watch movies and play games even outdoors in sunshine, and also enables laptop brightness to be reduced to save battery without impacting the viewability of such content.
Hitatchi Flash Storage A series
The Hitachi Flash Storage A series systems include a full suite of user-selectable data services that enable the right levels of capacity efficiency, data protection and predictable performance for a variety of workloads. Advanced features and selectable data services include inline data deduplication and compression, thin provisioning, snapshots, replication and data encryption. Customers now have the power to choose between turning on or off the inline data deduplication or compression based on application requirements for the right mix between performance and efficiency.
Toshiba PX04SL Series SAS eSSD
Toshiba has announced the availability of a new very read-intensive, enterprise SAS solid state drive (SSD) – the PX04SL Series. The PX04SL Series is optimised for read-intensive application workloads such as data warehousing, web servers, media streaming, and video on demand (VOD).
Netgear ProSAFE WC7600 and WC9500 controllers
Netgear is enhancing the offering of its two new quad-mode business-class 802.11ac wireless Access Points (APs) by enabling compatibility with controller management through its ProSAFE WC7600 and WC9500 Controllers.
Audiolab M-DAC+
Audiolab has upgraded its high-performance, multipurpose DAC to create the new M-DAC+. It has a new chassis with updated styling and control scheme featuring dual rotary controls, and supports data up to 32-bit/384kHz via USB (24-bit/192kHz via optical and coaxial inputs).
D-Link D-View 7 software
D-Link has launched D-View 7, a network management software that helps SMBs, large enterprises and service providers manage their data centres, local and remote networks and IT infrastructure efficiently and cost effectively. D-View 7 can be accessed with a browser anytime and from anywhere as long as there is an internet connection.
Mutiny’s free IPAM module
Network-monitoring company Mutiny has announced that its IP-Address Management (IPAM) module will now be available as a free upgrade for existing users. The IPAM module allows network managers to track which subnet IP addresses are free to use and which are already assigned to their network devices
