Storage and multimedia device vendor, Freecom is ramping up its operations in the UK, following the opening of its dedicated regional office. The firm has been trading in the UK through CCI for eleven years, however, this is the first time it has had a base of operations in the country.
"There are currently three employees in the new office, and given our ambitious growth plans, and the potential we see in entering new markets, we plan to grow this number to four in the near future as we will need additional sales support," said David Pye, UK channel manager at Freecom.
"We are looking to strengthen our channel relationships by offering dedicated Freecom representation, and to increase our presence in the B2B market space. We will attract distributors and resellers with our well designed and, in some cases, unique products, such as the encrypted ToughDrive. All our products are fully supported, with a second to none warranty and a support line structure in place."
As part of the new push, the firm is preparing to launch a range of new products, which are strictly aimed at the business market. "We see huge potential in the UK and in the new markets will we be targeting."
