The latest version of the Firefox web browser was released yesterday.
Its creator, Mozilla says that Firefox 3.5 is twice as fast as version 3.0 courtesy of advances in its JavaScript programming.
According to the FT, Firefox now holds 23 per cent of the browser market, compared to eight per cent for Apple’s Safari and two per cent for Google Chrome.
Mozilla has enjoyed considerable success with its line of web browsers. On its release day, Firefox 3.0 broke records with over eight million downloads in 24 hours.
