National Buying Group members are celebrating record rebates after £69,000 was paid out at its March meeting. One member, Xenex received a rebate cheque from NGB chairman Wayne Cockerill (pictured left) for £10,000.
Speaking about the news, NBG vice chairman Steve Longfoot said: "For reasons such as these record payouts, there has been a huge upsurge in enquiries from dealers wanting to join NBG."
Mighty Micro's Neal Somaia was another of those benefiting from the bumper rebate payouts: "I've received over £5,000 of rebate cheques this year alone. It just shows what can be achieved by focusing spend with a few selected suppliers and supporting them in the best way we can."
Longfoot added that the firm was planning to attend this year's Channel Expo in order to further increase the group's membership: "Today, I'm pleased to announce that NBG will be exhibiting at Channel Expo 2008. We felt it was the only way to meet a large number of dealers at once, and let them see what we can offer."
