The next generation of the iPhone could support multitasking capabilities, bringing it up to speed with smartphone rivals such as Nokia, Android and Palm.
That's if the Apple rumour mill is to be believed, which has begun steadily churning again ahead of an expected launch in the next five months, according to Macworld.
The lack of multitasking ability on the iPhone and the iPad has been a subject of complaint for many users.
Video calling abilities and a five MP camera have also been speculated upon as possible launches later this year.
