The Razr i will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich

Motorola unveils Razr i with 4.3-inch screen and 2GHz Intel processor

Today, at a joint event with Intel, Motorola announced the world’s first smartphone with an Intel processor and 4.3-inch Super AMOLED ‘edge-to-edge’ display screen.

The Razr i has a 2GHz Intel CPU and a display that is 15 per cent larger than the iPhone 5. Onboard storage is 8GB, although 5GB is user accessible, it also takes MicroSD cards up to 32GB.

Motorola claims the 8MP camera can start up in less than a second and can take ten pictures in under one second.

Motorola say the phone is "the perfect sweet spot of size and performance".

As well as its 540 x 960 pixel screen and speedy performance it also has a tough kevlar back and splashproof coating to protect from spillages and rain.

The Razr i will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but an update to 4.1 Jelly Bean is already in the works.

Available from October the Motorola Razr i will be available in the UK, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
