Network operator 3 said yesterday that its revenues had been boosted by the upswing in demand for mobile broadband services, with the firm now boasting over one million dongle users.
Revenues were up at the firm during 2008, as 3 grew its customer base to 5.4m in the UK. That was up on 2007 by 23 per cent, with the network operator pointing to mobile broadband as the key driver for new customers.
However, the increase in mobile broadband customers on flat rate contracts meant that 3's average revenue per user (ARPU) dropped.
