Mixed results for Future?s tech mags

Mixed results for Future?s tech mags Future Publishing’s technology magazines reported varying performances for the July to December 2008 period – with storming results for some and significant readership drops for others.

Technology lifestyle magazine T3’s readership was up 0.2 per cent year-on-year to 60,127 – the highest circulation ever recorded. The firm says the brand has grown its circulation by 10 per cent in the last four years, while the monthly men’s lifestyle market as a whole dropped 50 per cent.

Other strong performers in the publisher’s technology portfolio were LinuxFormat (up 13.3 per cent year-on-year) MacFormat (up 25 per cent) and PhotoPlus (up 24.2 per cent).

However many other titles fell in readership, such as PC Format (down 24.2 per cent year-on-year), PC Answers (down 28.7 per cent), PC Plus (down 20.7 per cent) and Windows Vista – The Official Magazine (down 20.5 per cent).

The firm’s PC gaming mags also took a blow, with PC Zone down 14.7 per cent and PC Gamer down 15.6 per cent.
