Gem has signed an exclusive UK and Ireland distribution deal with French publisher Mindscape that will see the distie stocking titles including a new music-based Wii game.
Wii karaoke game U-Sing Girls Night which hits shelves on 18 June and features hits from artists including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry.
Tracey Tennison, Gem’s head of purchasing, said: “We are thrilled to be working with a renowned and successful partner like Mindscape, U-Sing has already established itself in retail as a very popular music-gaming brand during 2009, and combined with our teams distribution and marketing expertise, along with our extensive retail reach, we’re confident that our partnership will greatly benefit both Gem and Mindscape.”
Mindscape UK’s general manager, Mark Stanger, added: “With Gem, we are partnering with a team who not only deliver an excellent sales and distribution service, but who also consist of individuals who are passionate about our products. Gem’s successful approach and relationships with retail are fundamental to this decision and we very much look forward to working with them on this eagerly awaited release.”
