Midwich says it has become the first specialist trade-only distributor to offer a three-year warranty on its 3D printers.
The warranty is for 3D Systems printer models, and runs alongside 3D Systems’ standard one-year cover. The warranty will be provided by service supply chain specialist Centrex Services.
The company provides a single point of contact for all elements of the services supply chain, from initial control centre support, to placing an engineer on site with the right part.
Founded in 2006 and with over 150 employees, Centrex Services has 88 field technicians, provides nationwide coverage with a four-hour business hours call-out capability and 17 stock locations in the UK.
Darren Maxey, product manager at Midwich, said: "The three-year warranty is important for many resellers as, for some end-users, the investment is considerable.

In other news today, Midwich has also appointed Andy Bott as category manager for consumer audio.
He joins the Midwich business management team after more than 20 years as the audio category manager for Hughes Electrical.
