A national campaign has launched, which sets out to improve the digital presence of Britain’s small business community.
Go and Grow Online is a 12-month programme delivered by Enterprise Nation, which is supported by Microsoft, Verisign and BT.
It aims to provide nationwide events and workshops to help increase small businesses digital skills.
According to Lloyds Bank Digital Business Index 2014, 50 per cent of small businesses are not online, with 1.7 million having a limited understanding of online.
The campaign will promote a better understanding for small and medium businesses (SMB) about the importance of digital, and the benefits for their business.
Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, said: “We hope this campaign will get through to those small businesses that still don’t understand the benefits that being online can bring.
“The partners we have backing this initiative are champions of online commerce and leaders in their respective fields. Each has a wealth of advice to share on the practicalities of setting up a digital shop front.”
The campaign will be launched today during an event at Microsoft HQ, where leading digital experts will be able to share their advice and tips for digital expansion.
