Reports have emerged that a former Apple regional director has joined Microsoft as its new director of stores.
According to IFOAppleStore, Michael Forrester – who joined Apple's retail operation in August 2002 – has joined Microsoft to head up its roll out of stores.
In February, Microsoft hired former WalMart vice president and general merchandiser David Porter as corporate vice-president to head up its new retail operation. If the reports turn out to be true, it is likely Michael Forrester will report to Porter.
PC Retail has contacted Microsoft for confirmation, but was still awaiting comment at the time of posting.
