Microsoft’s chief financial officer Peter Klein has said that the company expects enterprise spending to grow over the next two years, as businesses look to invest in PCs and servers.
According to CNet, Klein said that having sold over 90 million licenses for Windows 7, Microsoft will be looking to refresh its enterprise offering.
“We feel very well-positioned for growth as the economy recovers,” Klein told a conference in San Francisco. “There will be an enterprise refresh cycle. It's not precisely certain when that will happen or how fast that will happen.”
He also revealed that Microsoft will be offering a free or low-cost upgrade scheme for customers who buy Office 2007 in the run up to the launch of Office 2010.
