Windows maker lists the programs that will be affected by the recent Service Pack 1

Microsoft details Vista SP1 issues

Microsoft has published an official list of programmes that it believes suffer reduced functionality following the installation of the first Service Pack for Windows Vista.

Fortunately, the list is not extensive and comprises mostly security software such as Zone Alarm and Trend Micro.

The site also links to web pages where users of the affected software can download updates that should resolve the compatibility issues.

The site reads: "Windows Vista Service Pack 1 contains many security, reliability and feature updates for Windows Vista. A program may experience a loss of functionality after you install Windows Vista SP1. However, most programs will continue to work as expected after you install Windows Vista SP1.”
