Micro-P is looking to further drive its deal with 3, offering resellers and retailers a free broadband dongle if they sign up to sell the network operator's mobile broadband package.
The offer, which is being ran while stocks last, is aimed at boosting the number of channel businesses offering the network operator's product, either to consumers or to business customers.
The distributor became the first channel distributor to offer IT resellers the chance to compete against free laptop deals when it first signed the deal with 3 back in October last year, as reported by PCR.
Speaking to CRN, Micro-P's business development director, Simon Woodman said: "This programme is designed to increase the awareness of mobile broadband within the IT reseller community. The offer is open to anyone in the channel."
He added that the simplicity of the offering meant that almost any company in the channel could feasible sell the dongles, either as a impulse purchase, or as part of a wider solution. "Because it is pay as you go, there are no contracts to worry about and we are hoping resellers will take up the offer and help to spread the broadband message."
The offer is being ran through www.3dongle4free.co.uk. All that is required is for retailers and resellers to register their details. When ordering the products from Micro-P, they simply need to enter the voucher code they will receive upon registering.
