Uk distributor, Meroncourt has announced that, following its move into a larger premises, it will begin to offer fulfillment and storage services to its customers. The move was prompted by Meroncourt's desire to allow its customers, which do not necessarily have large amounts of storage space, to take advantage of bulk order deals that the distributor offers.
It said by offering the service at no extra cost to its customers, it would mean they would be now take advantage of special offers and discounts, or purchase end of the line and faster moving goods in volume.
Meroncourt also said that it would be looking to offer further services, such as customer's own warehouse space, with a view to enabling drop shipping or bulk delivery.
The firm also said that it would be offering storage of products no purchased from Meroncourt, as well as carrying out fulfillment, drop shipping or just warehousing of these customer goods according to their specific requirements.
Meroncourt's sales director, Steve Walsh, said "We have looked at how we can improve the services we offer to our customers, the concept of us storing goods for them will enable them to use us as a true partner and not just a supplier.
"Even our smallest customers can take advantage of this service and we believe once again we are at the forefront of enhancing the relationship between distribution and the channel. How many suppliers offer something for nothing?"
