Meroncourt has signed up to distribute Buffalo Technology’s entire range of products, in a move that bolsters the distributor’s storage and networking portfolio.
The two firms have finalised the agreement and the distributor is now stocking Buffalo’s storage, multimedia and wireless networking devices. Meroncourt’s sales director, Steve Walsh, told PCR that the firm’s latest signing was the result of a long search for a suitable storage vendor.
“Meroncourt Europe is very pleased to add such a prestigious brand as Buffalo to its portfolio. We have been looking for a hard drive storage partner for some time but have decided Buffalo is perfect for us, as it not only gives us an expansion into this market sector but it also adds to our existing networking range and gives us some of the first USB 3.0 products available in the UK,” he said.
In the later part of last year, Buffalo launched the DriveStation HD-HXU3, the world’s first ‘superspeed’ USB 3.0 external storage device.
The firm, which has offices in the UK, Germany, Japan, Korea, the US, and Taiwan, also recently unveiled the portable MicroStation Solid State Disk, which stores up to 64GB of data while using a small amount of power.
