Cartridge Expert provides its partners with the latest inkjet refill system for free, along with training, consumables and marketing support, in return for a 50 per cent share of the profits from each refill sale.
“We believe this offer is unique in the marketplace. It is ‘credit crunch busting’ in that there is no big capital outlay, no lease agreements to sign and no expensive franchise,” said Andy Gray, Cartridge Expert’s sales manager. “There are no penalties for not meeting targets – partners simply share the profit 50/50 with us as and when a sale is made.”
Cartridge Expert is initially targeting smaller, established retailers including computer service providers or suppliers, along with stationery and hardware shops. The firm will also consider other outlets such as educational establishments and charities.
“The machine itself is really simple and easy to use. It is no more complicated than a coffee machine and is perfect for a retail environment as there is no need for a specialist operator.
“It is manufactured in the UK and full backup telephone support and maintenance are also available,” said Gray.
Initially, businesses within two hours’ drive of the Cartridge Expert factory in Southampton will be given preference for the scheme, but the company will ensure that retail partners are not set up too close to each other.
Partners will be required to achieve 15 refill sales a week, which will increase to 50 per week once they have established themselves.
